Definition and tasks of the German-speaking Association of Microsurgery (DAM), Germans-speaking Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (GSRM)
The “German-speaking Association of Microsurgery / Germans-speaking Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery (GSRM)” serves directly and exclusively scientific purposes.
The tasks and objectives of this working group have been adapted by the board to meet current requirements: even stronger integration into international societies, increasing attractiveness by offering further training on special topics, increased information in the context of an internet forum and the creation of a dedicated homepage.
Annual conferences
Whenever possible, the working group organizes one or more conferences a year. These conferences are coordinated with the annual conferences of other associations, such as the German-speaking Working Group for Hand Surgery, the Association of German Plastic Surgeons, the Swiss Society for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery or the Austrian Society for Plastic Surgery.
Since 1978 (Prof. Dr. H. Millesi/Vienna), annual conferences have been held in the participating countries, all of which have been characterized by a large attendance and an increase in membership.
